Over the Rainbow

A few hour after we got settled in our room Zoe and I noticed a HUGE rainbow on the horizon. We snapped a few pictures and I hoped that when Mike got back from the cafeteria it would still be there!  The first thing he said when he got back was "DID U SEE THE RAINBOW?" This picture doesn't do it much justice...but it was gorgeous.

Zoe was great in the hospital. We were really glad that
they put her under the anesthesia before they put her
IV in...so she didn't have to endure the anguish she did
earlier this week. We saw a feeding consultant and shes now eating MUCH better..even her Acid reflux seems to be better thanks to the Zantac.

We are, of course, really glad to be home !

Zoe in the Hospital

Zoe started to have trouble breathing at the beginning of July. Although the pediatrician told us over the phone that it was probably just her getting used to the dust in the air it turned out to be a bit more. We took he to Children's ER on monday the 13th and it turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. From 8:00 that night until 4:00pm the next day they did a series of tests, from x-rays to scopes down her nose, ultrasounds and IVS. She hated every second of it but there was nothing we could do to help her, it made us just as unhappy, even teared up. It turns out that she has an underdeveloped larynx called laryngomalacia along with acid reflux. SO nothing TOO bad. This friday she has a small surgery scheduled for a scope and biopsy. Im sure shell be fine but were scared  still.

Zoes Birthday

We got to the hospital at 3:30am on Friday May 8th 2009 and Zoe was born at 1:00 that afternoon! Her birth was amazing, we loved Magee and the midwives. She was early though, three weeks. She was due june 2nd but she wanted to meet us soooo bad that the plans were changed. She did not need any special care though, she was healthy and beautiful. 5lbs 13oz and 18 inches long.

Come Visit us

Mom, Aunt Emily, Chelsy and Aunt lee came to visit Zoe and she loved it (even though she slept the whole time).
